We are growing the Experience Design team of talented designers to shape new products and experiences for users of both public and private sector clients.
We are seeking an exceptional designer to lead experience design projects, specifically design strategy service and UX design activities.
In this newly created role, you will work with the Experience Design Director and business leads to grow the design capability of 6point6 supporting both existing and newly created initiatives.

Establish best practice by developing and innovating on our approach for experience design practice, leading the approach of evidence-based product and design decisions.
Lead service design activities across multiple projects and with multiple clients, mentoring other designers and representing best practice with both internal and partner teams.
Have a strong desire to co-create with users and promote the participation of stakeholders, the wider team and have experience leading workshops and broader inclusive design initiatives.
Enjoy discovering genuine user needs and grounding design activities against those needs.
Lead the discovery phase and are comfortable with all aspects of planning, scoping, conducting, analysing and communicating findings. Be well-versed in a wide variety of contemporary design research methods.
Great with stakeholders, a great storyteller and communicator. Able to speak fluently to clients, designers, engineers and other stakeholders.
Experience with the different needs of the product design & development lifecycle, from the initial discovery phase through to working with developers to produce the final solution.
Experience in conducting aspects of user research as well as working with specialist researchers. On top of contemporary research methods, comfortable with metrics and A/B tests, and can synthesise quantitative data with qualitative user research. You have broad experience of qualitative research methods and are comfortable discussing the merits of different approaches.
Able to articulate visions and concept solutions with measurable value.
Strong across multiple design disciplines with theoretical knowledge, and practical experience related to information architecture, content, interaction, and visual-design.
Able to turn research data into clear findings that inform decisions. Ability to involve colleagues in analysis and synthesis to increase consensus and challenge assumptions. Comfortable working with the team reshaping user stories and defining acceptance criteria.
Enjoy collaborative work in a dynamic, data-driven, creative environment. Strong knowledge of agile and lean practice.

Technology savvy and have an understanding of how digital services are designed, developed and operated. You understand and are comfortable working with the different technical experts being part of a multidisciplinary team.
Experience working directly with senior stakeholders.
Experience working in large multidisciplinary design teams.
A minimum of 6 years experience in a user-centred design and research role at a consumer-focused company.
A degree in Design, Psychology, Human Computer Interaction, Social Science, or a related field.
Able to articulate experience designing products that meet accessibility standards.
Experience working within the GDS framework is a benefit.
