Who can apply:

  • Have a strong agile delivery background; with multi-year experience in either a scrum master, agile project manager or agile business analysis role
  • Have experience building and owning client relationships, at both a delivery and commercial level

Brief description:

You will work as part of an agile delivery team at Discovery and Alpha phases for major government/private departments.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with product manager to build a backlog of prioritised requirements/user stories
  • Elaborate epics and user stories from high level concepts to ‘playable’ units of work for the developers
  • Work closely with the Design and Research team, notably user researchers and UX Designers
  • Integrate and enable user research as part of elaboration and continuous improvement
  • Assist Delivery Manager/Scrum Master with maintenance of physical and digital agile boards
  • Own and continuously improve the user story lifecycle, including Definition of Ready/Done, user story kick-off and sign-off
  • Work with product manager, delivery manager, tech lead and QA
  • Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to ensure that the team’s plans and objectives are achieved
  • Gather and analyse data to measure and inform the team’s progress
  • Gather and analyse data to measure and inform the performance of the team’s live service
  • Mentor and guide Assistant Business Analysts in their work and career.

Essential skills:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ business analysis experience.
  • Excellent knowledge and application of the Requirements Engineering Process and experience in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience of applying a variety of BA techniques appropriate to the business situation such as Business Process Modelling (using BPMN), Context Diagrams, Use Cases, SWOT analysis, MOST analysis and Business Activity Models to support the investigation and analysis of business situations.
  • Experience of working with a range of business and technical stakeholders in an agile context
  • Experience of communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Experience working in fast-paced, multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience working within a culture of continuous delivery and improvement
  • Experience in a range of prioritisation techniques (RoM, t-shirt sizing, MoSCoW etc).
  • Strong understanding and experience of user centric design with non-functional aspects such as security, privacy, accessibility, performance and reliability.
  • Business Analysis certification is highly desirable for this role.
