We are growing the experience design team of talented designers to shape new products and experiences for users of both public and private sector clients. In this newly created role, you will work within the experience design practice supporting both existing and new client engagements.
We are seeking an exceptional designer to design and craft new digital services, who is a strong service and interaction designer where new design systems are established and existing are extended, while designing new services that demonstrate how user needs and business requirements are met.
Role and responsibilities
- As an experience designer who is strong in service and interaction design, you will deliver service blueprints, user journeys, flows, lo-fi and hi-fi prototypes, interface design, component designs, design specifications, presentations and design pitches.
- Design new services across multiple projects and with multiple clients, working with lead experience designers.
- Develop a deep understanding of user needs and be a champion of the benefits of being user centred, good design, inclusive design and accessibility.
- Perform discoveries and are comfortable with planning, scoping, conducting, analysing and communicating findings that ground design decisions against user needs.
- Enjoy collaborative work in a dynamic, data-driven, creative environment. You understand and are comfortable working with the different technical experts being part of a multidisciplinary team, guiding software engineers as they build your designs.
Requirements
Essential

- Perform discoveries and are comfortable with planning, scoping, conducting, analysing and communicating findings that ground design decisions against user needs.
Desirable
- Enjoy collaborative work in a dynamic, data-driven, creative environment. You understand and are comfortable working with the different technical experts being part of a multidisciplinary team, guiding software engineers as they build your designs.
- We are looking for people who have a minimum of two years’ experience in a design role at a consumer-focused company, or government body.
- A degree in Design, Psychology, Human Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- You will have a portfolio that showcases your design process and thinking.
